Wedding Gown cleaning & preservation

Preserve your memories with us.

Hiawatha Cleaners & Launderers understands how important your wedding gown is to you. A reminder of your special day, perhaps a family heirloom to be passed on to a daughter or grand daughter to wear on their special day. Experts at the Drycleaning & Laundry Institute, the international association of professional dry cleaners and launderers, recommend cleaning your dress before storage.

The dress may contain invisible stains caused by foods and beverages, as well as perspiration and body oils. These will later appear as permanent yellow stains if not properly cared for in cleaning.

We will go over your gown checking for spills, stains and common trouble areas such as the collar and hem. We will expertly remove these stains, clean and refresh the gown. Then hand press entire gown before preservation.

Hand Cleaning:

We hand treat and clean each gown individually - never in combination with any other bridal dresses. We take every precaution to protect delicate beads, embroidery, and lace during the cleaning process.
